On June 4, Shandong Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment issued a Circular on Praising Enterprises that implemented proactive emission reduction during the Emergency response Period of Heavy Pollution Weather. The circular praised 859 enterprises that implemented proactive emission reduction during the emergency response period of heavy pollution weather in December 2020.

In December 2020, under the influence of extremely adverse meteorological conditions, our province experienced several rounds of heavy pollution weather in succession. During the emergency response period of heavy pollution weather, 859 enterprises in the province took the initiative to assume social responsibilities and actively participated in the emergency emission reduction of heavy pollution weather. Among them, 144 enterprises took the initiative to reduce production load and 715 enterprises (units) took the initiative to implement time-wrong transportation. Further reduced the emission of air pollutants, for the province to win the blue sky battle to make positive contributions.

In the activity of "June 5th Environment Day", the provincial Department of Ecology and Environment has made special publicity for enterprises that take the initiative to reduce emissions. At the same time, it has guided all municipalities to reward enterprises that take the initiative to reduce emissions through ecological compensation funds, so as to establish a clear guidance and actively create a good atmosphere for the whole society to jointly cope with heavy pollution weather.
